About

Dr Antonietta Pirillo

I have been exploring topics around evolution, spirituality and psychology from a very young age, seeking answers in any new or ancient text I could put my hands on. With the burning desire to know more, I took to psychology studies and I became a Clinical Psychologist and Interpersonal Therapist. In the meantime, I have been studying and practicing meditation and yoga as ways to introspect, get to know myself and connect with the world around me. I was very lucky to have the chance to help and getting to know people from various backgrounds and cultures very early in my life and career, which opened my mind to different perspectives, traditions and life conditions. I listened to so many stories, of war, of loss, of abuse, of escape, of love, of dignity, of hope. Every story mattered, every story touched my heart and humbled me down.

I take a holistic perspective when looking at human beings. I believe that we are the result of many things acting inside and outside us and that true health, emotional and psychological well-being can be achieved when we harmonize these different components. I believe that when we are able to integrate our mind, body and emotions we connect with our true identity, purpose and vision. This brings happiness and satisfaction in our lives.

My Vision

I am passionate about supporting people reach their full potential, this being helping them overcome mental illness, improve their relationships or reach their personal and interpersonal goals. I am now at stage in my career in which I feel that working 1:1 with clients is somewhat limited and I have the desire to share my knowledge and experience to help as many people as possible.

I have had a vision for the world and for humankind for a long time now: a world where everybody is joyful, compassionate and available to each other.  I hold this vision dearly, especially at times in which I have to make big decisions or changes in my life. It has been and still is the driving force beneath my choices and projects – even when it sounded unrealistic or unachievable to the people around me.

I have come to realise that in order to achieve this vision there is a need for radical transformation of human beings, starting with myself. This transformation needs to happen at multiple levels within ourselves, to embed in our lives qualities of the likes of love, compassion, forgiveness whilst developing mental and emotional freedom.

My Values

I value healthy eating, natural products, spending time in nature and preserving the environment. I make an effort to offer my humble contribution to charities and movements to plant trees, to raise awareness about the environment and to provide water in deprived countries. I believe in a collective and compassionate way of living, where people are ready to cooperate and help each other, supporting the weak and the vulnerable.

My top 20 values are:

Honesty, integrity, respect, equality, diversity

Commitment, contribution, cooperation, dynamism, originality

Kindness, compassion, humility, enthusiasm, enjoyment

Health, nature, spontaneity, innocence, simplicity.

I believe that if even just a handful of us can strive to respond with kindness to anger, with compassion to bitterness, with forgiveness to hurt, we will be on our way to set an example and make this world a better place.
